Konica Minolta and Presstek reveal digital printing plans
Wednesday 04th of June 2008
The Konica Minolta and Presstek companies have revealed their intentions to work together to make digital printing solutions more readily available worldwide.
Under the terms of a recently agreed deal, Presstek is to offer the bizhub Pro C6500 from Konica Minolta alongside its DI digital offset printing tools.
The aim of the collaboration is to help providers of short run printing services to offer a more complete solution to their customers and to enable them to turn a bigger profit as a result.
It is thought that the bundled solution will be particularly useful for digital printing service providers whose customers are aiming to carry out a small-scale direct marketing campaign.
"The high level of quality, low cost per page and substrate flexibility of the Presstek DI combined with the variable data printing and ultra-short run capability of the Konica Minolta bizhub Pro C6500 is an ideal solution for satisfying these demands," a statement from both firms read.
Earlier this year, Presstek announced that a UV printing option was to be made available for its DI digital devices.
