Plastics firm reveals rising demand for short run printing

A German plastic container manufacturing company has revealed that demand is rising for its short run printing services.
In order to carry out its increased workload of short run printing projects, the firm has ordered a total of six new digital colour printing presses from the Xeikon company.
Jokey Plastik has been supplying its clients with printed plastic containers for a number of years and has recently switched to digital printing technology in order to enhance the scale of the short run printing solutions it can offer.
"So far we have not been actively marketing the short run multi-version concept and still we have already reached full capacity of our first Xeikon press," said Matthias Zientek, production manager at Jokey Plastik.
"Last month at Interpack, we publicly announced this new offering and so we expect demand will rocket," he added.
Jokey Plastik describes itself as being among the leading European experts in plastics processing and claims to be at the "cutting edge" when it comes to using the industry's latest technology.
