Hospitality group 'printing more brochures on demand'

Saturday 26th of July 2008

The Torbay Hospitality Association is sending its new booklet across the whole of England.

Some 50,000 copies of its 2009 booklet are being sent the length and breadth of the country, thisissouthdevon reports.

Gordon Oliver, the chairman of the association, told the news site that it was hoping to "cash in" on a growing trend for holidays in England.

He also added that there was a "bigger than ever" demand for the 2009 brochure.

"We started producing a brochure 25 years ago, and it's gone from strength to strength. We changed the format last year to an A4 size and it proved really popular," said Mr Oliver.

"It was distributed nationwide, with 30,000 being sent out, and because of the response we got back we're printing 50,000 next year."

The association's brochure plans follow the announcement that a fundraising effort by Strathclyde Tyres raised £2,500 for St Vincent's Hospice in Johnstone.

It will allow the hospice to print an eight-page A5 brochure and distribute 6,000 copies to the local community, the Paisley Daily Express reports.
